Why get involved? While coffee is so popular in the UK, it's hard to imagine that there is a crisis in the coffee growing regions of the world. Coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world, yet the current market prices are so low growers from around the world are suffering great hardship.
This coffee crisis is destroying the livelihoods of the 25 million coffee growers who depend on the money they earn from growing coffee to support themselves and their families. These producers rely on global trade and many of them are poor because they receive an unfair share of the benefits of such trade.
